NEW TEVES MARK 4 ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM
In 1984, Teves began the series production of the new generation of ABS systems for passenger cars. This Teves Mark 2 ABS System was the first ABS system of optimum weight and volume in which the braking function, boost of braking force and hydraulic ABS regulation are combined in a constructive and functional manner in a compact unit. The Mark 2 system contains other innovations for passenger car antilock: the use of highly flexible microprocessors, a redundant realization of control logic, and a triple braking circuit. However, the price of the system meant that it was not fitted on bottom of the range models. So that this class of vehicles can be in the future also fitted with ABS, Teves has developed a cheaper system, namely the Teves Mark 4 ABS system.
