The paper deals with quasi-dynamic algorithm for the solution equilibrium problem approximated by the finite element method. The proposed algorithm avoids the solution of the system of equations and it can be used without modifications to solve nonlinear problems. The procedure is applied to the consolidation problem. The paper provides the assessment of the efficiency of the proposed algorithm. (Author/TRRL)
