MODERNIZING THE US HIGHWAY SYSTEM

The author recognizes that there are no clear investment strategies to fund the maintenance and modernization of the U.S. highway system. Recommendations are made fro increases in available funding. Research interest in "smart " traffic systems is discussed on the high tech side.
