THE OPTIMIZATION OF AN EXTREMELY LIGHT CAST ALUMINUM WHEEL RIM
It is noted how rounded surfaces which reduce wind resistance, and low vehicle weight lower fuel consumption. In the search for lightweight wheel which was both safe and durable, an aluminum wheel manufactured by low-pressure die casting was considesred appropriate. This article describes the mechanics of such a wheel.
