TOWARDS SAFER VEHICLES. CONFERENCE REPORT
This is a report on the 10th ESV Conference which was sponsored by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of the U.S. Department of Transportation, hosted by the U.K. Department of Transport, and organized by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. For brevity of coverage, the most significant material from papers on five important themes -- pedestrian compatibility, structures and inbuilt systems, accident avoidance (handling), trucks and buses, and motorcycles -- is summarized.
