OBEYING THE RULES
Until Naval Station Mare Island announced that the mandatory safety belt rule was going to be enforced, the two people whose stories follow had never bothered to buckle up. They are alive today because of that mandatory use rule. The stories first appeared in the base newspaper, "Mare's Tale."
