GRENOBLE TRAMS BREED SUCCESS
Described is the people-oriented light rail system of Grenoble which is expanding in response to ever-increasing ridership. The system uses low floor vehicles which are most attractive to its riders, a number of whom are either wheelchair bound or have limited mobility. Resilience and floating trackbeds are employed to control vibrations since some tracks are fairly close to buildings.
