JOINT ADOT CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY TRAINING. HIGHWAY SUBCOMITTEE ON CONSTRUCTION OF THE STANDING COMMITTEE ON HIGHWAYS
Realizing that a large number of its trained and experienced staff will retire over the next five years, the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) has embarked upon an aggressive construction training and recruitment program to fill the ranks which will soon become vacant with knowledgeable and certified staff. ADOT joined forces with the Arizona Chapter of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) to provide a joint cooperative training program offering joint classes. Participants in these programs are tested upon completion of courses and if successful, receive certification for the appropriate undertaking. When construction projects are to be undertaken, ADOT encourages contractors to employ these certified individuals.
