PHYSICALLY BASED FLOOD FEATURES AND FREQUENCIES
The paper describes the development of a rainfall-runoff watershed routing model based on a kinematic wave equation. The contrived basin characteristics and rainfall events are described. Expressions for time of concentration, peak flow and the time to peak were developed as functions of basin characteristics and rainfalls. The results from these expressions were compared with the results obtained from the rainfall-runoff kinematic wave routing model. Physically based flood-frequency analyses are also reported.
