LONGITUDINAL SHIFTS AND FORCES IN BRIDGE SUPPORTS CAUSED BY LONGTERM ACTION

UZDUZNI POMACI I SILE U POTPORAMA MOSTOVA IZAZVANI DUGOTRAJNIM DJELOVANJIMA

The longterm influence of shrinkage, creep and temperature on the continuous girders of concrete bridges is caused by the horizontal forces of the continuous girder bearings. The magnitude of horizontal forces depends on the type of bearings. The common action of continuous girder exhibited through the dilatation support has been described by means of the equation of continuity and balance between the upper and lower structure, taking as an example a bridge across the Drava river near Prelog.
