ROAD TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS INVOLVING THE ELDERLY POPULATION IN THE SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF CROATIA
SUDJELOVANJE STARIJE POPULACIJE U PROMETNIM NESRECAMA NA TERITORIJI SR HRVATSKE
The article studies the involvement of the elderly population (over 65 years of age) in road traffic accidents in Croatia and compares these figures with the proportion of elderly people in the population (4700000). The study has disclosed that the highest casualty rates are among pedestrians but also that old people do not get involved in road traffic accidents as often as young people. (TRRL)
