TRAFFIC NOISE SIMULATION BY MEANS OF A COMPUTER
KOMPJUTERSKA SIMULACIJA SAOBRACAJNE BUKE
The article presents a computer program designed for the simulation of highway traffic noise. The simulation model itself is based on a random, discrete and dynamic simulation of traffic flow as the noise generating source. The model includes the conditions for noise propagation and the alternative measures for the reduction of noise level (dykes, screens etc.). The main simulation program is supplied with a set of subprograms for different types of numerical and graphical representations (histograms, charts, tables, layouts, etc.) on a printer or plotter. The entire system is integrated and covers all methodological and technological requirements of the highway design process. (TRRL)
