RESIDUALS ARE NO REFUSE (ANYMORE): POWDER COAL FLY ASH
RESTEN ZIJN GEEN AFVAL (MEER): POEDERKOOLVLIEGAS
A small part of the sale of fly ash goes to the construction of roads; a greater amount finds its destination in road construction through building materials which are partly or entirely made of fly ash. The ranges of application in road construction are: additions and embankments; roadbases with stony material and with mixtures; pavements with asphalt and with concrete; and sett paving. The report pays attention to each of the areas mentioned by reviewing the literature on the topic and by reviewing current laboratory research and practical experience using experimental road sections.
