The report is meant for the improvement of the quality and economy of street maintenance. Concerning street pavements, the pavement conditions of streets, the need for minor repairs, repairing methods and their limitations, and the economy and organisation of the activity are discussed. For gravel streets, the conventional maintenance activities, their timing, effects, and working methods are studied along with the alternative maintenance methods. (TRRL)
