VEHICLE TYPE SPECIFIC SPEED LIMITS

AJONEUVOKOHTAISET NOPEUSRAJOITUKSET

The need to renew the vehicle type specific speed limits, specially those of buses and vans, was studied by taking into account the development of the road network, vehicles and traffic safety, the safety effect of vehicle type specific speed limits, and the feasibility conditions of the different transport modes. Six alternatives for renewals are presented. The report recommends that the current practice is to be continued. (TRRL)
