A METHOD OF LATERAL VIBRATION ANALYSIS OF THE TAIL VEHICLE OF A TRAIN
This paper describes a method of obtaining lateral vibration data by means of recursive operations of much smaller matrices. This overcomes the obstacle of the large number-of-degrees-of-motion involved. This paper also describes the application of this method to the lateral vibration analyses of a train of twelve Shinkansen vehicles.
