THE RED LIGHT CAMERA EVALUATION, INTERIM REPORT, JULY 1985
Red light cameras were introduced in August 1983 to deter run the red offences and therefore to reduce the incidence of right angle accidents at signalised intersections in Melbourne. This report was prepared after two years of operation of the program. It provides a detailed account of the technical aspects of the program, but does not provide any detailed, evaluative analyses of accident data. (Author/TRRL)
