TEST III TAKES TO CN RAILS
Custom-designed software make the TEST track geometry trains stand above the rest. Described is the third addition, TEST III, of Canadian National's track geometry trains. TEST III, performs its inspections at both 90 mph and 60 mph. Among its functions are measuring and recording mileage, superelevation, curvature, and gauge in addition to outputting six real-time reports on track parameter measurement, defects which require immediate corrective action, index of track quality for each quarter-mile section of track, all instrumentation signals, amount of rail head wear and data on curvature.
