SURVEY ON THE POTENTIAL OF GROUND EFFECT MACHINES IN MARITIME TRANSPORT
A review is made of the completed and currently active research and development efforts in the United States and abroad on the subject of ground effect machines (GEM). Both the technical and economic developments are studied and conclusions and recommendations are made relating to possible application of GEM in the merchant marine field.
