1986 TRAFFIC FATALITIES, PRELIMINARY REPORT. TECHNICAL REPORT

This report provides a number of preliminary estimates of traffic fatalities and fatal accidents for 1986. Trend data are presented for both the long and short term. Some summary statistics are provided at the state and regional level. The national estimates for 1986 are quite extensive and cover the entire range of frequently used accident classifications. All estimates are compared to the corresponding values in 1985, 1983 in graphical form.
