THE USE AND EFFECT OF (RADIO) TRAFFIC INFORMATION. A STUDY INTO THE QUESTIONNAIRE
HET GEBRUIK EN EFFECT VAN (RADIO) VERKEERSINFORMATIE. EEN SCHRIFTELIJK VRAGENLIJSTONDERZOEK
A report is presented on a questionnaire into the use and effect of radio traffic information. The questionnaire was held in the different regions and aimed at the following target groups: recreational road users; commuters; and professional drivers. Most of the drivers liked the driver information. Commuters and professional drivers use the driver information regularly for adapting their route. The topicality, the frequency of broadcasting and the reliability can be improved. The provision of background information such as advice and warnings is required by most of the drivers. For the study into the optimalization of radio traffic information see IRRD 820539 and 820540. (TRRL)
