EVALUATION OF THE ALCO-SUR (ALCO-SENSOR) SCREENING DEVICE
The Alco-Sur is a portable screening device for determining blood alcohol concentrations. The accuracy and reliability of the devices were evaluated using both standard alcohol solutions in simulators and human drinking subjects. Intoxilyzer 4011 AS, an approved instrument, was used for comparison pruposes in the human subject testing. Reproducibility was established using consecutive simulator trials and the effect of temperature on repsonse was verified. The Alco-Sur met the standards as specified by the CSFS Alcohol Test Committee for an approved screening device.
