FINDING SOLUTIONS IN THE '90S: FUNDING, MANPOWER PROBLEMS
More than ever before, contractors and transportation officials must find solutions to challenges they rarely have dealt with as the nation enters the last decade of the twentieth century. New markets are developing that will require new funding answers. Shortages of skilled manpower, not serious since the '60s, will develop again. This article examines what lies ahead for the construction industry in the areas of money for construction, workforce, infrastructure, environment, and technology.
