TRAINING FOR TOMORROW: PARTNERSHIPS WITH EDUCATION
In 1986, the Master Builders of Iowa (Associated General Contractors of America) entered into a formal partnership agreement with the Iowa Department of Education. The agreement would improve instructional programs, help young people explore and pursue construction careers, and provide the industry a trained, skilled, and responsive workforce. This article discusses the objectives of the agreement, the role of each partner, and the accomplishments to date.
