EFFICIENT LAND ALLOCATION
Research is reported which devloped a model for the single land-use allocation problem that extends previous models and addresses several of their drawbacks including: the ability to model the study region as an irregular grid; explicit consideration of the physical capacity of a specific parcel of land to support a particular land use; the ability to generate the complete set of noninferior alternatives if desired; and the ability to handle moderately large (up to 1,000 geograpical units) problems; The details are described of the model as well as a summary of computational experience with an implicit enumeration solution tehcnique. Model implementation is also discussed.
