EXTRACTION OF DISASTER INFORMATION ON SLOPE ALONG RAILWAYS USING AERIAL PHOTO AND GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION
For the effective management of slope disasters along railways, it is important to extract the information concerning disasters occurring on the slope. In this paper we dealt with various information on the same scale using an image analysis which combined remote sensing data (aerial photographs) and GIS (Geographic Information System), and tried to extract various kinds of information concerning disasters of slope by applying an overlay analysis. As a result of these trials, we could objectively extract information which could not be obtained only by using a single information, and could unify the qualities of different information and reasonably manage these information by the use of digital image processing. In addition we shall be able to extract a spot at which a disaster is likely to happen.
