GEOSTATIC WALL PRESSURES
This paper shows that the pressure distributions behind translating and rotating walls in both active and passive conditions are described by a single expression. This closed-form expression presented here, models the pressure distributions behind rigid rough retaining structures in active and passive failure modes under translation, rotation about the base, and rotation about the top. The details are discussed of the equation in which each condition is represented by two condition specific parameters in the expression.
