THE TRANSPORT SITUATION IN AFRICA AND THE HUMAN RESOURCE DIMENSION
After a description of the ever deteriorating situation in African infrastructure and transport, the importance of transport management training is stressed. This human resource development must be seen as part of a broad policy. An adequate institutional framework for manpower development for ministries, parastatals and enterprises involved in transport is needed to counter African transport problems.
