TAIPEI, TAIWAN, REPUBLIC OF CHINA: MASS TRANSIT AT LAST!
A number of problems have plagued the construction of a mass transit system in Taipei, Taiwan, Republic of China, such as land acquisition, changing contractors and land fills which require one year to settle. Under a joint venture agreement among several U.S. companies, a virtually redesigned system has at least made it as far as ground breaking in two areas.
