TESTING NIGHT SIGHT PROBLEMS
This brief article describes the laser spec night-vision tester developed by professor Paul cook, a laser scientist. From the screen of a set resembling a small portable TV, glows a ball of red speckled light. The person examined has to describe which way the speckles are moving when viewed by each eye through a variety of lenses, thus enabling professor cook to build up a picture of any deficiencies. Patients who are found to be suffering from twilight or night myopia are referred back to their own optician with a prescription.
