COMBINATION OF DIFFERENT INFLUENCES AND FATIGUE IN MATERIAL ON RIGID PAVEMENTS
KOMBINACIJA RAZLICITIH UTICAJA I ZAMOR MATERIJALA KOD BETONSKIH KOLOVOZNIH KONSTRUKCIJA
The author points to the fact that when designing rigid pavements, one should take into account not only stress load but also thermal loads. Thermal loads influence total stresses of concrete slabs in the afternoons when they are superimposed on stresses due to loads. The article presents a test method for the determination of the concrete slab fatigue according to miner,m and points to the inadequacy of the method because thermal stress is neglected. It also shows how to determine the fatigue curve according to domenchini,l and marchionna,a who take into account both stress and temperature.
