Final regulations for underground storage tanks recently went into effect. A complete summary of requirements for installing new underground petroleum storage tanks along with compliance dates for affected transit agencies, tank filling procedures which would prevent spills and overfills, regulations for existing piping as well as financial responsibility for cleaning up leaks are listed.
