UNDERGROUND RIVER FORCES FREEZING AT VALENCIA
When construction of the first line of the Valencia metro system began, a sewer perpendicular to the track and then an ancient river even deeper were discovered. Therefore, ground freezing had to be used in order to excavate the underground tunnel. Construction methods and details are described for this, the third metro system to be built in Spain.
