CADD NOT ALL IT CAN BE AT FIRMS THAT HAVE IT
It is noted that although owners of computer aided design and drafting systems are using them more than ever before, they are still not taking advantage of all the features their systems offer. Only about 40% of CADD users use the system for 3-D functions, specifying materials or estimating. Design firms that have used CADD for five years or more are starting to branch into more complex functions. Drafting is the one use for which engineers make universal use of the CADD system.
