ROAD MAINTENANCE BY LOCAL AUTHORITIES BY MEANS OF VEJOPS. REPORT SUMMARY

VEJOPS is based on the experience from the pavement management system (PMS) in operation on the main road network in Denmark for the last 10 years and the principles from the manual guidance system for maintenance of minor roads with flexible pavement, developed in 1978-81. The system was developed by the National Road Laboratory to meet the growing need of a planning tool for maintenance management in local road authorities with limited resources and budgets that are too small.
