PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS OF GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM
This paper attempts to identify some practical aspects of using GPS (global positioning systems) satellites. The use of GPS satellite recievers enables the resolution of difficult surveying problems with speed and accuracy. However, when evaluating the practicality of GPS for a given business, there is a difference between science of the technology, availability of the equipment, and the ability to apply and use the equipment correctly and profitably.
