"OFF LIMITS" A REFERENCE GUIDE FOR IMPROVING COMPLIANCE WITH POSTED SPEED LIMITS
This reference guide is an aid to law enforcement officials, governors' highway safety representatives and highway safety planners in determining how speed compliance programs might be strengthened through additional enforcement, integrated into existing priority traffic safety programs, and/or enhanced with a strong public information and education program that supports the enforcement strategies being used within the state and community. A fact sheet is included on the physical and traumatic consequences of speeding. The various chapters cover compliance, implementing an enforcement program, strategies, community involvement, and public information and education.
