INTEGRATED LANDSCAPE DEVELOPMENT IN MANAGEMENT RESEARCH. PROCEEDINGS OF 1989 MID-YEAR MEETING, LANDSCAPE AND ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN COMMITTEE, TRANSPORTATION RESEARCH BOARD, WARWICK, RHODE ISLAND, JULY 23-26, 1989
This paper describes the Texas Transportation Institute Landscape Development and Management Research Program. This paper, when presented at the conference, was accompanied by slides which are not reproduced with the text. The program is structured into five areas of focus or "initiatives." These are (1) Design-Vegetation Management, (2) Slope Management, (3) Plant/Water/Pavement Relationships, (4) Plant Establishment and Culture, and (5) Visualization and Information. Each of these initiatives is discussed and the scope of work to be accomplished is briefly described.
