THORACIC IMPACT INJURY MECHANISM. VOLUME I
Mathematical modeling and related computer program development for the thorax under impact conditions are described. An experimental program for measuring thoracic behavior of Rhesus Monkeys under impact conditions by means of bi-planar cine-radiography is also described. Preparation of an anatomical cross-section atlas for Rhesus Monkey is discussed. Results of the computer program are compared to experimental data for a human thorax and are found to be satisfactory.
