NRMCA LAP MANUAL. "CONCRETE LAP" MANUAL FOR POTENTIAL NVLAP PARTICIPANTS
This manual explains the operation and technical requirements of the laboratory accreditation program (lap) for freshly mixed concrete (concrete lap). The purpose of the concrete lap is to (1) upgrade the proficiency of personnel conducting tests on freshly mixed concrete; (2) give recognition to competent laboratories. The scope of the concrete lap involves concrete testing according to the test method indicated in the manual. Section i provides operational information about background, scope, the accreditation process, on-site visits, and evaluation of the assessor's report. Section II gives the technical requirements for accreditation by the national voluntary laboratory lap (nvlap), under the following headings: (1) training program; (2) equipment and facilities; (3) maintenance and calibration; (4) record keeping; (5) test method performance; (6) quality control documentation. Section III presents the proficiency testing requirements for the within-laboratory and between-laboratory proficiency programmes. Appendix a contains sample instructions and application forms for accreditation.
