TRANSPORT IN LONDON
This booklet describes the objectives of the Department of Transport's (United Kingdom) plans for London transport, and explains how these are to be carried out. It describes the roads that are being built or are planned. It also outlines the investments being made or planned by British railways and London regional transport. Statistics describing the pattern of transport into and inside London are provided for each mode of transport (car, taxi, pedestrian, bus and coach, underground railway, motorcycle, bicycle, and train). Sections are also provided on rail transport, the road network, alternatives to train or car; and London docklands.
