PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AND DISABLED PEOPLE
ANDICAPTILPASNING AF KOLLEKTIV TRANSPORT
This report describes the state of the art of all five nordic countries concerning public transport of disabled people. Several transport modes are dealt with: bus, taxi, train, ship and air. Special aspects studied are: boarding and alighting facilities, and special service lines, for example, dial-a-ride service. The possibilities for disabled people who sit in a wheelchair to use public transport are investigated.
