This report deals with the processing sequences used to manufacture portland cement and presents the energy consumption per short ton of cement produced. Production is divided into the following activities: raw materials acquisition, preparation of raw materials, clinker production, and grinding and mixing of product cement. Other items discussed include energy for size reduction and kiln energy use.
