SECOND NORTH AMERICAN CONFERENCE ON MANAGING PAVEMENTS, 2-6 NOVEMBER 1987, ROYAL YORK HOTEL, TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA

The second North American conference on managing pavements was held November 2-6, 1987 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, sponsored jointly by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation and the United States Federal highway administration. Eleven sessions were held: 1) total systems at state and provincial levels, 2) managing pavements in local governments, 3) managing pavements around the world, 4) pavement performance prediction, 5) ranking and optimization methodologies, 6) expert systems and information technology, 7) pavement maintenance, 8) benefits of managing pavements, 9) organization, implementation and communication issues, 10) trucks, and 11) pavement evaluation technologies.
