OPTIMIZATION OF THE LEAD-ACID BATTERY FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLES
Four problems were studied: Optimum charging and lead batteries; influence of the gas production on the charging; optimumization of the battery for electric vehicles; the discharging capacity of the porous lead electrode. Both theoretical and experimental studies were performed in these areas in order to elucidate the suitability of lead-acid batteries for propulsion of electric vehicles.
