REGION 13 TRANSIT DEVELOPMENT PLAN FY 1989-93

The fiscal year 1989-93 Regional Transit Development Plan for Planning Region 13 provides a structured format for the development and implementation of public transportation services in Southwest Iowa. Section I of the plan provides an overview of existing public transportation throughout the region. Section II provides information regarding the determination of transportation needs within the region. Section III provides the overall direction for the plan by enumerating the goals and objectives for public transportation in Southwest Iowa. Section IV of the plan assimilates the goals and objectives from Section III into two developmental alternatives and presents the selected alternative as determined by the Policy Board of the Southwest Iowa Planning Council. For fiscal year 1988, the selected alternative is used as the basis for an expanded five-year development program. It is anticipated that the fiscal year 1989-93 Regional Transit Development Plan will assist all individuals concerned with public transportation to realize a logical, continuous increase in the overall effectiveness of transportation service in Southwest Iowa.
