BEHAVIOR OF MATERIALS AT COLD REGIONS TEMPERATURES. PART 1: PROGRAM RATIONALE AND TEST PLAN
Newer materials and products are being constantly added to the Army's inventory. Cold regions climatic conditions should not impair the reliability and durability of these new systems. This report discusses the rationale of the test program being undertaken at CRREL to evaluate material behavior at low temperatures. Materials being tested are metals, plastics, polymers, and composite materials. Fracture property tests for low temperature application of these materials are outlined.
