DISCRETE MATHEMATICAL MODELLING OF SPATIAL VARIATIONS OF GEOTECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF SOIL COMPUTER ANALYSIS OF THE STABILITY OF SLOPES ---PROCEEDINGS OF THE FIFTH INTERNATIONAL CONGRWESS, INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF ENGINEERING GEOLOGY, 20-25 OCTOBER 1986, BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA. VOLUMES 1, 2 AND 3.
The problems of the discrete mathematical modelling of geomechanical characteristics of soil and the ways they affect stability parameters in various directions are discussed in this paper. The basic elements of the mathematical method of interpolation and the entire analytical procedure are presented. In conclusion the authors evaluate the feasibility of application of the discrete modelling and the mathematical models proposed for the computer analysis of the stability of slopes.(a) for the covering abstract of the congress see IRRD 817067.
