INTERACTIVE INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEMS FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF LOCAL PUBLIC TRANSPORT. FROM THE BOOK COMPUTER SCHEDULING OF PUBLIC TRANSPORT 2
This paper discusses the general need for interactive information processing systems in local public transport. The advantages of computer systems in complex planning processes and data processing procedures are discussed. Computer evaluation and optimization systems are briefly presented. Finally, a combined data operations, evaluation and optimization systems is briefly shown in practice in local transportation planning in several large cities in West Germany.
