FAILURE BEHAVIOR OF REINFORCED CONCRETE BEAMS DETERIORATED BY ALKALI-SILICA REACTIONS --PROCEEDINGS OF THE 7TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CONCRETE ALKALI-AGGREGATE REACTIONS, OTTAWA, CANADA, 1986

Laboratory tests were made to assess the effects of deterioration due to asr (alkali silica reaction) on the failure behavior of reinforced concrete (rc) beams. Ordinary and steel fiber added rc beams were tested. For short term static loading, the negative effects of cracks caused by asr was not significant. For the covering abstract of the conference see IRRD 811982.
